Central Florida Fair in Orlando Feb. 24 ? Mar. 6

Orlando is no longer known for cattle ranching and orange groves, but it still upholds the 101 year old tradition of hosting the Central Florida Fair February 24 ? March 6, 2011 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds just three miles west of downtown Orlando on Colonial Drive (State Road 50).

For a fraction of the cost of the Orlando theme park attractions, visitors can enjoy festival food, midway games and rides and live entertainment, plus traditional agricultural fare such as livestock shows, exhibits, demonstrations and competitions.

The gate admission prices for the 2011 Central Florida Fair are as follows:
? Adult admission: $10
? Student and senior admission: $7
? Child admission: $5
? Children 5 and under: FREE
? Ride wristband (unlimited rides): $20 weekday/$25 weekend

Parking is free (another difference from the major theme parks) and tickets can be purchased in advance at reduced prices up until February 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Florida Fair website. The website also includes a full listing of scheduled and entertainment fairground hours of operation for the Central Florida Fair.
